Nine Inch Nails: Hesitation Marks (Columbia, 9/3/13)
In case you missed it on Friday, Nine Inch Nails debuted a David Lynch-directed video for “Came Back Haunted,” the first single from forthcoming album Hesitation Marks.
It’s not the Earth-shattering collaboration for which many might have hoped, but there’s a very Lynchian quality to the whole thing, as high-contrast stills, overlaid with flashing red squares, cut to frenetic, blurred-vision closeups of Trent Reznor’s beloved face.
Epileptics, this is serious business! If you’re easily affected by flashing effects, don’t watch this — no matter how sexy you find Mr. Reznor.
