The official Lollapalooza events may have wound down at 10 PM this year per usual, as music stages closed and the festival grounds began to clear—but, thanks to the After the Park party sponsored by Alarm Magazine and Rockit, the music, drinks, and fun were far from over.
The parties were hosted at Rockit Bar & Grill Friday and Saturday night and packed in enough electrifying acts to light up downtown Chicago. Friday’s lineup included sets from Ivy Levan and DJ Mom Jeans (more commonly known as Danny Masterson from That ’70s Show), and Saturday featured DJ sets by The Knocks and Ryan Cabrera, who shook the bar’s dance floor with their energetic sets.
Both parties were a fitting end to the music- and partying-filled Lollapalooza days—but unlike the festival, they allowed for good times without tens of thousands of your closest friends.
