The Bouncing Souls frontman Greg Attonito and wife Shanti Wintergate have created a children’s book together, titled I Went for a Walk. Illustrated by Attonito and written by Wintergate, the story touches on lessons of equality, tolerance, beauty, and variety.
I Went for a Walk takes the reader on an adventure of world travels with eccentric and vibrant illustrations inspired by Attonito’s travels with the Bouncing Souls. The book encourages using imagination and making something out of nothing.
The concept of the story and the first ten lines were created years ago by Wintergate, and the search for an illustrator led to a fruitful relationship and subsequent marriage. Attonito brought the story, along with a sketchbook and paint pens, with him on an international tour with The Bouncing Souls. Italy, Switzerland, Tokyo, and Australia became inspiration for his drawings.
The couple will continue promoting and signing copies of I Went for a Walk on its remaining book-reading dates.
