Erick Jordan (voice, acoustic guitar), William Frish (electric guitar, backing vocals), Mackenzie Vernacchio (organ, Wurlitzer), Richard Ray (bass guitar), and Mark Bordenet (drums) recreate the simple yet articulate pop sounds perfected by John Lennon after he left The Beatles. Included are perfectly written pop songs, sung raspily and played with a touch more funkiness that you would expect from a pop group, by musicians who can really get down on their instruments.
The song “Doctor” could not be more inspired by Mustard Plug’s “Subterranean Homesick Blues,” and next up, “Lonesome Road” is a nod to the pop genius of Marc Bolan and T. Rex.
