Frank Warren cannot keep a secret. Though this would be worthy of excommunication if Warren were a twelve year-old girl, it has made his PostSecret book series an internet phenomenon, and this fall yet another collection of secrets will be published in the fourth installment, entitled A Lifetime of Secrets.
The PostSecret project began with Warren randomly distributing postcards encouraging people to anonymously submit their secrets to him in the same form. After an overwhelming response and successful 2004 exhibition at Artomatic in Washington, D.C., Warren started the PostSecret blog, displaying twenty newly received secrets every Sunday.
Since then, he has published three books of the compelling, disturbing, and amusing postcards he’s received, the most recent being The Secret Lives of Men and Women in January of this year. Along with that, Warren’s PostSecret blog has won numerous awards, and his project has received national attention. Some of the best pieces were recently featured in the All-American Rejects‘ video for “Dirty Little Secret.”
A Lifetime of Secrets will be available October 9, 2007, and can be pre-ordered now from Amazon.com.
