On August 28, Definitive Jux will release None Shall Pass, the first full-length album from distinct hip hopper Aesop Rock in four years.
Longtime partner Blockhead mostly produces the new disc, which took more than two years to create, but the highly acclaimed MC also is responsible for much of his own tracks. Def Jux head honcho and fellow rapper El-P makes an appearance, and Cage, Rob Sonic, and John Darnielle also show up as the album unwinds.
Most recently, Aesop Rock released a short story in collaboration with visual artist Jeremy Fish, created a 45-minute mix for Nike, and wrote scores for two short films.
