Giving other blue-collar bands a run at being the hardest working outfit in the ever-burgeoning spectrum of indie folk, Akron/Family have announced fall tours in North America and Europe to coincide with the release of Love is Simple, their second full-length album.
The experimental and highly harmonic group, which will have its new work released on September 10 by Young God Records, seemingly can’t get away from the studio. Love is Simple comes two and a half years after Akron/Family‘s self-titled debut, but the four-piece has since released mini-album Meek Warrior and a collaboration with Angels of Light (also known as Michael Gira of Swans fame).
The North American portion of the tour kicks off in Detroit on September 6 and, after a short break, wraps up in Portland on October 20.
