Bad Brains, Naked Raygun Headline Chicago’s Riot Fest

ALARM Magazine is proud to announce itself as a sponsor of next weekend’s Riot Fest, a two-day Chicago festival headlined by punk legends Bad Brains and Naked Raygun. Organized by Riot Fest Records, the event comprises twenty-two bands, including Stiff Little Fingers, 7Seconds, The Casualties, Dillinger Four, and a reunion of Screeching Weasel predecessor Sludgeworth.

Naked Raygun will be selling their new two-disc DVD/CD set, What Poor Gods We Do Make: The Story and Music Behind Naked Raygun, at the festival. The package, which hit stores today, features interviews, live performances, and behind-the-scenes footage of the twenty-six-year-old group.

Bad Brains, meanwhile, continue touring in support of Build a Nation, the seminal band’s first studio full-length in twelve years. The album was produced by Beastie Boy Adam Yauch and released by Megaforce Records on June 26.

Riot Fest 2007 takes place Saturday, November 17 and Sunday, November 18 at Chicago’s Congress Theatre. Tickets, which are being sold in one-day ($25) or two-day ($45) form, are available through ticketmaster.com. Head to riotfest.org to view the full line-up.
