Blue Scholars Present “The Program”

Seattle hip-hop duo Blue Scholars could definitely call 2007 their biggest year. The last twelve months have seen the band release their album Bayani through Rawkus Records, and play gigantic gigs on the main stage at the Sasquatch Festival and supporting Q-Tip at CMJ 2007.

In celebration of all of their accomplishments, the group is presenting their own version of a hometown throwdown called “The Program.” The five-night event will take place December 18th through the 22nd and brings together the cream of the crop from the Northwestern circuit, ranging from some of the leading DJs, activists, visual artists and record labels.

The shows will take place at Neumo’s in Seattle, in conjunction with local radio station KEXP and local newspaper The Stranger. If you can’t make it out to the gigs, no sweat, since every night will be broadcasted live on SynchronicityLive.com.

In advance of “The Program,” the duo will play a few shows on the west coast. The mini-tour begins this Thursday, December 6.
