Bunny Rabbit: Lovers and Crypts

Bunny Rabbit - Lovers and Crypts Anything that sounds original in 2007 should get instant credit. However, originality does not always equal a great product. This is the case with Bunny Rabbit.

The emcee and DJ/producer combo produce a sound that is a mixture of rock, rap, and electronica. Simply put, a lot of the music on here is just noise and bad emceeing. The beats sound dull and fail to captivate the listener or create any imagery.

The female emcee of Bunny Rabbit is vocally annoying, simplistic, and uninteresting. There is often nothing compelling about the music or the subject matter.

The group receives an A for effort by trying to do something different, but I can’t really understand if they are serious about their lyrical content, which is simply nonsense. Is this group trying to poke fun at something or do they actually have a focused message? It seems as though they make music just to make music.

There are many songs based on sexual subjects or themes, but they probably contain the most unattractive words ever spoken and lack compassion. Maybe that is the point? If you are open to a different sound then you may be compelled to listen, but I can’t think of many reasons to give this album a chance, because it simply sounds uninspired.
