Tour dates for the upcoming Explosions in The Sky world tour were recently announced. The foursome kicks off a five-month global circuit starting in Brighton, England and ending in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The US leg of the tour kicks off in Tuscon, Arizona before moving on to other major US cities. Terminal 5 in New York, The Wiltern in Los Angeles, and the Congress Theater in Chicago are amongst some of the venues set to host the band.
The tour is to be their last in support of their latest album, entitled All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone. The Explosions in the Sky website declares, “After June 2008, we plan on dropping off the face of the earth for a while, so these will probably be our last shows for quite some time.”
And if a world tour isn’t enough, the band also is curating the All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival in May of 2008. Acts at the festival will include Dinosaur Jr., Mono, Four Tet, Iron and Wine, Animal Collective, Ghostface Killah, Broken Social Scene, and Explosion in the Sky.
Tickets for the Explosions in the Sky tour go on sale today, December 14.
