This February he’ll take things a step further with the arrival of his debut studio album, Invisible Baby.

Out February 12 on HYENA Records, Invisible Baby finds Benevento manning an acoustic piano and leading a trio through eight new instrumental compositions. Joining him on the recording are Reed Mathis (Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey) on bass and Matt Chamberlain (Critters Buggin, Fiona Apple) and Andrew Barr (The Slip) alternating on drums.

New Yorkers can check out songs from the album Mondays in January during Benevento’s residency at Sullivan Hall, a new Greenwich Village venue. Throughout the month, Benevento will be accompanied by a number of special guests, including Billy Martin (Medeski, Martin, and Wood), Stanton Moore (Galactic), and Joe Russo (Benevento/Russo Duo).
