Remember mix tapes? Were you that guy or girl who impressed all of your friends by exploring the depths of your record collection and painstakingly compiled the very best blend of songs in the very best order imaginable? If the digital age has stunted your craft, this contest is for you.
Make ALARM a great mixtape, and you win. It’s that easy. Well, not really. We want a CD mixtape with an onomatopoeia theme. Cool to say, hard to spell. Every song should include one example, whether it is in the lyrics, the actual title or any other related way.
We want you to go all out on this project. Woo us with your artwork, write liner notes, and whip out the gluestick and sparkles. The mixtape will be judged by the songs, creativity, cover art, and over all dedication to doing something entirely ridiculous.
