O’Death to Tour U.S. with Boot-Stomping Americana

O’Death
O’Death, maestros of fiddle-filled folk, blistering bluegrass, and melancholy Americana, have announced two weeks worth of U.S. tour dates with semi-orchestral act Rock Plaza Central.

After having full-length album Head Home re-released in June by Ernest Jenning Record Co., the men of O’Death performed across Europe and at select shows on the east coast of the United States. With feverish fans chanting along to their powerful pieces — like the massive gang vocals on the chorus of “Down to Rest” (heard below) — the group opted to once more hit the road in support of the album.

O’Death will also participate in a two-day fundraiser at Chicago’s Hideout while in the windy city, included as part of a stellar second day with indie darling Andrew Bird, kooky dance artist Dan Deacon, and circus/punk marching band Mucca Pazza. Titled Block Party, the eleventh annual event comes in the middle of O’Death‘s dates.

During the tour, the band will switch headlining duties with seven-piece ensemble Rock Plaza Central, whose critically acclaimed Yep Roc debut Are We Not Horses? sung of robotic horses that thought they were real.
