Only One Week Left to Vote for ‘Dream Spot’ Winner

Hundreds of submissions have been narrowed down to just ten bands, including Kidnapkin (shown above), for Sabian’s ‘Dream Spot’ contest, a chance to tour with the 2007 Vans Warped Tour and play on the ‘Kevin Says’ stage, which is notable for being the springboard for bands such as Fall Out Boy, All-American Rejects, and My Chemical Romance. The winner will also receive $10,000 for touring equipment, a one-year Sabian endorsement for its drummer, and a one-year micro-site on the 3D virtual music community, Cafesonique.com.

The finalists, who come from all over North America and vary in genre, were selected by a preliminary judging panel comprised of Vans Warped Tour representatives, Sabian’s artists relations team, and magazine editors, including ALARM’S own music editors.

Fans can vote on the Sabian website, where the finalists’ videos and songs are posted, until June 15. The winner will be announced on June 16 and will join the Vans Warped Tour for ten days in August.
