British-born, French-raised singer/songwriter Piers Faccini has been handpicked by Ben Harper to open for Ben Haper and the Innocent Criminals on their current U.S. tour. Faccini blends luscious soft vocals and poetry with folk- and blues-inspired music, drawing equally from luminaries such as Tom Waits and Nick Drake.
This won’t be the first time that Faccini has performed with Harper. The former member of acoustic outfit Charley Marlowe has also opened for Harper on recent European and Australian tours, routinely joining him on stage as a guest vocalist.
Harper also made an appearance on Faccini’s second solo album, Tearing Sky, and brought the Innocent Criminals to back the quadralingual artist at this year’s Bonnaroo Music Festival.
