Billy Corgan and Co. will play seventeen shows in two U.S. locations this summer in support of their new album.
In honor of forthcoming album Zeitgeist, their first release of new material since 2000, Smashing Pumpkins will be offering fans a unique experience this summer.
The band will be performing two sets of “residency gigs” – extended stays at specific venues – with nine shows scheduled for The Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina and eight for The Fillmore in San Francisco, California.
Besides playing material both new and old, the Pumpkins will perform alternate versions of songs that didn’t make it onto Zeitgeist as well as tunes written the day of the show. Attendees are permitted to bring audio and video recording devices.
