The Faint Working on New Album, Ready to Hit the Road

Label-mates Cursive also start a tour tonight, May 1, with co-headliners Mastodon and Against Me!

Synth-rock act The Faint, whose 2004 album Wet From Birth (Saddle Creek) marked another step in its growth as a group, have returned to the studio to record a follow-up disc.

There is not yet a target date for release, but interested parties can catch the band testing out new material on its forthcoming three-week tour. The jaunt, which begins in late May and runs through mid-June, will also include the old standbys to which Faint fans have grown accustomed.

Saddle Creek roster-mates Cursive, meanwhile, begin a tour tonight as co-headliners with Mastodon and Against Me! The three bands will be on the road for nearly all of May.
