Catching Up With Isis

With all of us here at ALARM anxiously awaiting the ALARM sponsored Isis & Dub Trio show this Saturday at Subterranean, we thought it would be appropriate to update you on some of the latest Isis news. Isis is currently finishing up their highly anticipated fifth album, and has assured us and fans alike that they are “sweating away in a small windowless room.” In addition to working on the new album, Isis members have also been keeping themselves busy with multiple side projects.

Drummer Aaron Harris has teamed up with Cave In/OMG bassplayer Caleb Scofield to form Zozobra. Zozobra’s debut album is available for pre-order through Hydrahead Records and can be heard here. Guitarist Aaron Turner is currently working James Plotkin and Tim Wyskida on an unnamed project, but says that they trio have finished recording and are preparing to release the album sometime in early 2009. We hope to see everyone at Subterranean on Saturday and hope no one misses this show, because it is going to be one to remember!
