17-piece Athens, GA based rock ‘n’ roll collective, Dark Meat have just announced a 21-date US tour. Setting off aboard their 1972 GMC coach bus, the band will cumulate their tour on October 31, bringing their psychedelic, southern-styled rock to New Orleans for a special Halloween appearance.
Having released their debut album, Universal Indians (Vice Records) earlier this year to critical and fan acclaim, Dark Meat has been steadily growing a rabid following around the world. With a combination of traditional rock instruments, a horn section, banjos, and an army of vocalists, Dark Meat brings the party wherever they go (not just because there are enough of them to have a party on their own) with an energy and excitement to the stage that is absolutely infectious.
