The New Zealand post-punks Die! Die! Die! have added several new tour dates to their blistering schedule before leaving in early June for a string of European dates. The added shows (see below) will take the band up the Pacific Northwest and across the border for two Canadian dates where they will be backed by Detroit garage rockers, the Von Bondies. The trio’s energetic and spontaneous stage presence has gained some notoriety and has been compared to earlier punk forefathers like Black Flag and The Wipers.
In addition to these added shows, Die! Die! Die! has also released an animated video for it’s newest single, “Sideways, Here We Come,” in support of 2007’s acclaimed album Promises, Promises. The video, which contains cleverly manipulated cardboard cutouts, is available on YouTube or the band’s MySpace.
