Grizzly Bear and LA Philharmonic Set March Performance

gbear_small.jpgGrizzly Bear are no strangers to playing to larger audiences. The Brooklyn-based band recently played a show for the Wordless Music Series in New York and is scheduled to play with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra this spring.

Both shows feature groups from seemingly different places on the musical spectrum in an effort to bridge the gap between “genres and generations.”

The orchestra will open the first half of the concert, playing music that prompted Grizzly Bear to make music in the first place. The second half of the show belongs to Grizzly Bear, who will play a full set with selections from Horn of Plenty (Kanine 2004) and Yellow House (Warp 2006).
