New Shirts from The Cancer Conspiracy: Buy ‘Em

The Cancer Conspiracy was a relatively obscure prog/indie-rock group from Vermont. The trio released a hugely unsung magnum opus, The Audio Medium, in 2002 on Big Wheel Rec, but its subsequent recordings were caught in legal purgatory when Big Wheel went under.

Those recordings finally surfaced in a posthumous recording titled Omega early this year. This was largely due to the dedication of Radar Recordings and the hard work of guitarist/producer Daryl Rabidoux.

Daryl is a rad dude and an engineer at Strangeways Recording Studio in Providence, Rhode Island. Unfortunately, he had a very serious car accident this year. He’s on the road to recovery, but he didn’t have health insurance, as is the case with many independent musicians.

The moral of this story: check out Daryl’s old band and buy some shirts, which will be available through Radar in a few weeks. We’ll post a link at that time.
