After a five-year performance hiatus, Boston-based ambient doom-metal collective Old Man Gloom is returning to the stage.
The group is set to play a select number of shows on the west coast before heading to Austin for the SXSW festival in March. The first show of the tour will mark the band’s tenth show.
Originally formed in New Mexico, Old Man Gloom features members from heavyweight bands Isis, Converge, Cave In, Zozobra, and Agoraphobic Nosebleed. The group’s last full-length release was Christmas (Tortuga Recordings) in 2004.
Dates and cities for the tour have yet to be confirmed.
