Southside Spiritual with James Jankowiak

casper_small.jpgSouthside Chicago gallery 32nd & Urban is hosting a new exhibit entitled Southside Spiritual, featuring the work of James “Casper” Jankowiak. Traditionally known by his grafitti alias “Casper,” Jankowiak has recently turned his attention to studio-oriented projects and art education.
Jankowiak’s latest efforts are highly influenced by the tedious beauty of Mandala, a Tibetan sand art form. The ancient medium symbolizes beauty, discipline, and the impermanence of life. With Southside Spiritual, Jankowiak hopes to inspire discourse on what drives the human desire to connect with faith through his use of repetitive geometry and the organic evolution of his works.

32nd & Urban features the works of innovative artist showcasing forms of urban expressionism. The Southside Spiritual exhibition runs from January 26th to February 29th.
