Now, The Dandy Warhols are raising the bar, trying something even more out-there. The band is partnering with Amazon.com for the release of their upcoming album, …Earth To The Dandy Warhols…. The new album will be available through a service called TextBuyIt. The service will allow consumers to get album release details and can even purchase certain titles via texting. For The Dandy Warhols specifically, requests can be sent to 262966 (or AMAZON) with the message earth2dandys. Also, if you buy the album from Amazon the week it comes out (starting August 19), you’ll be able to get an exclusive cover version of Bob Dylan’s “Lay Lady Lay” along with the album.
