Tobacco To Release Debut Solo Album

Tobacco (aka one of the members of the trip-pop unit Black Moth Super Rainbow), has just completed his new solo album, titled Fucked Up Friends . Like BMSR, Tobacco records strangely-crafted pop music, which can be either danceable or unsettlingly eerie, depending on your mood. Employing analog synths and tape machines, Tobacco presents an eclectic, cryptic debut album.

Like BMSR, Tobacco records strangely-crafted pop music, which can be either danceable or unsettlingly eerie, depending on your mood. Employing analog synths and tape machines, Tobacco presents an eclectic, cryptic debut album. While a majority of the songs are instrumental, displaying a lo-fi psychedelic quality to them, there are at times mutilated, drowning vocals that can give the album an uniquely schizophrenic feeling.

You can catch Tobacco live on stage at a handful of shows:

09/26: Chicago, IL Bottom Lounge
09/27: Minneapolis, MN Triple Rock
10/03: Purchase, NY SUNY Purchase
10/21-10/24: New York, NY CMJ

Fucked Up Friends hits stores on October 14th via Anticon Records.
