Triclops’ story (featured in ALARM 32) is an interesting one, born out of a need to shake-up the Bay Area-punk scene using a couple of “veterans” by way of San Francisco’s Christian Beaulieu (Bottles and Skulls) and Fleshies member Johnny. After finding drummer Phil (formerly of Lower Forty-Eight) through a Craigslist ad and reaching out to bass player Larry Boothroyd (of Victim’s Family/Hellworms/Saturn’s Flea Collar fame), the group recorded their Cafeteria Brutalia EP, following it up with full-length Out of Africa in March, 2008.
