Richard Hell to release re-recording of final Voidoids album via Insound

On September 1, New York Punk icon Richard Hell will release Destiny Street Repaired— a “rescued” and re-recorded version of final Voidoids album, 1982’s Destiny Street.

Destiny Street Repaired will include revamped versions of all ten tracks of the original recording, which has been out of print for five years. The album will feature new vocal performances from Hell, as well as new guitar parts from Marc Ribot, Bill Frisell and original Voidoid Ivan Julian.

According to Hell, “Destiny Street Repaired better represents the intentions of the original 1982 sessions than does the Destiny Street that was released that year.”

Two versions, including a traditional CD, and a vinyl/CD/poster set will be available via Insound.com, and Hell’s website.
