The man behind The Echocentrics is Austin-based, two-time Grammy-nominated producer Adrian Quesada. Quesada has previously worked in bands like Ocote Soul Sounds and Brownout. On The Echocentrics’ new album, Sunshadows, he teamed with Argentinean singer Natalia Clavier and Brazilian musician Tita Lima to craft a psychedelic, Latin-funk album that oozes laid-back grooves. Ample use of a Farfisa synthesizer and electric harpsichord take these cross-cultural jams into far-flung hinterlands.
