Featured in yesterday’s edition of This Week’s Best Albums, Seattle-based alt/math-rock band X-Ray Press is now debuting a new MP3 from its sophomore release, UVB-76 (out now, via Bandcamp, Amazon, and CDBaby), called “Bad Beard (God Under Oath).”
The start-and-stop track gathers momentum and melody over its course and features the band’s signature vocal battle/harmony between guitarist Paurl Walsh and bassist Michael Pasuit. There’s a lot to like here, from the copious aggressive riffs to the vicious technical drumming.
