You might already know New Jersey-based DJ/producer Com Truise (a.k.a. Seth Haley) from any number of his past projects, including Sarin Sunday, SYSTM, and Airliner. Under his current Scientologist-referencing pseudonym, Haley describes his music as “mid-fi synth-wave, slow-motion funk.” Sounds about right.

Click play on the third and final track from Com Truise’s new single, Fairlight, and you’ll be hard pressed to not feel like you’re stepping into a humid, strobe-lit club in ’80s-era Miami. Chunky synth blasts layer endlessly into a rumbling, Tron-like, ambient soundscape.
