Trumpeter/composer Wadada Leo Smith will premiere his new work, Ten Freedom Summers, October 28-30 at the REDCAT Theater in Los Angeles. A collaboration with the Golden Quartet and Southwest Chamber Music, the opus focuses on the civil-rights era and will feature archival news footage and other abstract imagery. More info here.
