This spring, Blur / Gorillaz front-man Damon Albarn will release his first solo work since 2003. The album, titled Dr Dee, is named after and inspired by John Dee, the influential 16th Century English philosopher / mathematician / adviser to the stars (namely, Elizabeth I). Look for it May 8 on Virgin Records.
