“Folklorica” and other fusions from Future Sounds of Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires' underground electronic scene is celebrated on Future Sounds of Buenos Aires, a diverse compilation including such artists as Tremor, Mati Zundel, La Yegros, and King Coya.

In recent years, Buenos Aires, Argentina, has become a hub for the underground South American electronic movement. Now a number of the scene’s most innovative artists, including Tremor, Mati Zundel, La Yegros, King Coya, and more, are united on the compilation Future Sounds of Buenos Aires.

The album is the first such compilation released in the USA by Waxploitation and ZZK Records and brings together diverse members of Buenos Aires’ electronic movement. Each of the dozen artists featured on the compilation lends a distinctive sound marked by the fusion of contemporary electronica and traditional South American folk styles. FSOBA, which can be previewed via the trailer below, is a representation of the emerging movement that has come to define — and be defined by — Buenos Aires’ fascinating culture.
