Kimbra, best known for her vocals on Gotye’s omnipresent “Somebody I Used to Know,” revealed that she will be working with Ben Weinman of The Dillinger Escape Plan on her sophomore album following last year’s Vows, which topped the charts in her home country of New Zealand and Australia.
According to the singer-songwriter, Kimbra has followed the metalcore band since high school. And apparently, Kimbra also attracted Dillinger’s attention — it was Weinman who initiated the collaboration. The guitarist took to his Twitter to show support for the songstress, tweeting: “If u have an open mind 2 anything other than metal, this girl is the bomb.”
