Psych-soul singer / multi-instrumentalist Georgia Anne Muldrow‘s latest album Seeds (Stones Throw, 3/27/12) marks a number of firsts: produced by Madlib, it’s the first album with a producer other than her partner Dudley Perkins (Declaime), and it’s also Madlib’s first time collaborating on an entire album for a female singer.

Shots of Muldrow show her in a flowing gown in contrast with the arid desert and its jagged terrain as she sings of protecting the children of today and the “unborn seeds” of tomorrow — a concern driven home by cameo appearances of her son.
