In 2011, three-fifths of Sargent House instrumental post-rockers Red Sparowes — Emma Ruth Rundle, Greg Burns, and David Clifford — branched out to create Marriages. Like Sparowes, the offshoot plays with post-rock conventions, only now the atmospheric guitars and determined beats are accompanied by Rundle’s otherworldly vocals.
On May 1, Marriages’ debut album, Kitsune, will be available through Sargent House. For a preview of what’s in store from this new amalgamation, check out the teaser below before heading on over to the band’s Bandcamp for a free download of its first single, “Ten Tiny Fingers.”
