On January 23, Cedric Bixler Zavala took to Twitter to announce that he was leaving The Mars Volta due to differences with guitarist Omar Rodriguez Lopez. The band went on hiatus in September of 2012, but with Rodríguez-López focusing on new project Bosnian Rainbows, The Mars Volta may be done for good.
