Chicago’s Millennium Park series of summer concerts, Downtown Sound, and its experimental counterpart, Loops and Variations, are returning this summer, and the lineup is shaping up to be impressive.
Starting on Monday, May 27, artists including Dessa, Brokeback, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Sharon Van Etten, Marc Ribot’s Ceramic Dog, Glen Hansard, and Lisa Hannigan will hit the Pritzker Pavilion for a series of free shows. Thursday’s Loops and Variations series will include Dan Deacon, Matmos, Eighth Blackbird with Glenn Kotche of Wilco, Ólafur Arnalds, and more. Check out the full schedule and clear those evenings.
