In news that will elicit cries of “well, I’ll be a monkey’s uncle,” Instagram’s logo is set to become a physical camera, the Socialmatic. You can’t fault the marketing team behind the app, as they’ve made some extremely smart choices with their new toy: not only will the camera have Instagram functionality, touchscreen, and 3D photo capability, but it also will be able to print photos through a partnership with Polaroid.
So there’s a new way to post out-of-focus pictures of that doughnut you just ate as well as a new option for lovers of Polaroids? The Socialmatic should be a winner when it launches in 2014. Check out the announcement video below.
