Reggie Watts’s Life on the Road, f. sound effects, loops, modern dance, and Michael Winslow

Armed with a looper, an afro, and a keen sense of improvisation, comedian/musician Reggie Watts thrives on the explorative nature of live performance. The first episode of Life on the Road, a series chronicling Watts’s travels, features footage from the artist’s three-day “Reggidency” for San Francisco comedy festival Sketchfest.

Each of the three performances is wildly different, featuring collaborations with a modern dance troupe, a drum-and-keyboard combo, and actor/comedian Michael Winslow, whose sound-effect skills are well documented in the Police Academy movies.
