On Saturday night, Annie Clark — the singer/guitarist/goddess known as St. Vincent — took to the stage at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre to play an absorbing, striking show for a sold-out crowd. Clark performed songs from her four-album solo discography (with this year’s St. Vincent accounting for nearly half the setlist), covered Nirvana’s “Lithium” in honor of the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobain’s death, and channeled her inner David Byrne with Stop Making Sense-like choreography laced throughout the show.
