LCD Soundsystem has released a music video for “Tonite,” the latest single from their forthcoming album, American Dream, out Sept. 1st via DFA and Columbia.
The video, directed by Joel Kefali, features the band playing the song on a rotating stage amidst flashing lights in an otherwise empty room. It seems to be both a send-up and an homage to the retro aesthetic that the band’s music exudes.
Kefali’s previous work includes the videos for Lorde’s “Royals” and “Water Fountain” by Tune-Yards. He has also directed videos for The Naked & Famous, Flying Lotus, and Tame Impala.
