Renowned Japanese DJ and producer DJ Krush will hold his first-ever DJ seminar on November 2 at the Scratch DJ Academy and Campus Circle in Los Angeles.
DJ Krush is deemed one of the founders of the mid-’90s downtempo and instrumental hip-hop scenes, gaining attention for being the first DJ to perform in Japan with live musicians. Open to the general public, the exhibition will allow fans and prospective DJs/producers to get one-on-one access to one of the most highly regarded and talented turntablists in the world.
The event will feature an exclusive live performance of the original production “Drum,” from DJ Krush’s 2006 release, Stepping Stones: The Self Remixed Best. Also included will be a special Q&A session with students and a showing of his recent three-disc DVD release, A History Of DJ Krush/Suimou Tsunenimasu.
The Scratch Academy seminar with DJ Krush, who spent Halloween performing a four-hour set at Hollywood’s Knitting Factory, is open to the general public by RSVP through Campus Circle’s website.
