ALARM Magazine, in collaboration with Tee Pee Records and specialty hardcore/metal retailer Encore Records is proud to present a daytime showcase of Tee Pee Records artists and friends at Encore Records (1745 W. Anderson Ln.) in Austin, Texas on March 13. Set to perform at the event is Witch, Earthless, Graveyard, Ancestors, Annihilation Time, and The Weight.

Witch: Revamping the classic sounds of heavy psychedelic rock, Brattleboro, Vermont’s Witch turned many heads with their self-titled debut record in 2006. With a lineup that boasts legendary Dinosaur Jr. front man J. Mascis on drums, Feathers’ Kyle Thomas and Asa Irons on dueling guitars, and Dave Sweetapple on bass guitar, their latest record, Paralyzed, shows that the band has broken their own mold, exhibiting their flair for garage rock and high octane punk while staying true to their roots.

Earthless: Space rock powerhouse Earthless will be making a very special appearance, as the instrumental trio rarely performs outside of their home town of San Diego. Playing music off of last year’s Rhythms from a Cosmic Sky and their upcoming yet to be titled 2008 relase, their groove laden psychedelic fury is not to be missed.

Graveyard: All the way from Gothenberg, Sweden, classic rock influenced quartet Graveyard will be making their first ever American appearances at this year’s SXSW Festival. Intricate melodies, soaring vocals and undeniably catchy riffs makes their self-titled debut album on Tee Pee Records a true stand out.

Ancestors: LA based Ancestors will undoubtedly provide the heaviest sounds of the afternoon. Their epic, two-song debut full-length (yes, two songs), Neptune with Fire combines the sounds of 70s doom, exploratory psychedelic riffs, and desert rock style rhythms.

Annihilation Time: Fusing 70s cock rock and 80s hardcore, audiences should be prepared to watch out for flying objects and unmitigated chaos that Annihilation Time incites at every turn.

The Weight: Performing material off of their debut album, Are Men, out this winter on The Colonel Records, this Brooklyn quintet’s laid back, light-hearted country songs will be a pleasant start for a long day of rock ’n’ roll.
