Our best wishes go out to The Scotland Yard Gospel Choir today. The Chicago indie-rock group was involved with a serious van accident on their way to a show. Omar Rodriguez-Lopez of The Mars Volta scores new film “The Burning Plain”
The new film from Guillermo Arriaga (“Amores Perros,” “21 Grams,” and “Babel,”) stares Charlize Theron and music by Rodriguez-Lopez. The film received an 11-minute, 36-second standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival last year.
Arriaga has referred to Rodriguez-Lopez like, “something between Chopin and Jimi Hendrix,”
