Morgan Lehman Gallery will present Sexy Time: A Group Effort, a group mixed-media exhibition. This exhibition “attempts to address the multiple ways we filter, confront, and communicate sexuality through humor and satirical means.”
Artists participating include Susan Anderson, Richard Colman, Chrissy Conant, Franklin Evans, James Gobel, Kris Knight, Sabrina Marques, James Merrell, Matthew Palladino, and Randy Polumbo.
Four bands from Dangerbird Record, Darker My Love, One AM Radio, Dappled Cities, and Eulogies have recorded songs originally released in 1956. Recorded at Lone Palm Studios, in Los Angeles, the songs are part of a promotion by PF Flyers and are available for free download below.
To mark its 15th year anniversary, Exile In Guyville will be reissued on June 24th (ATO records) and will include three unreleased B-Sides and Guyville Redux DVD. Liz Phair will perform the entire album on June 25th at Hiro Ballroom in New York, with similar events planned for Chicago and San Francisco.
