Benton Harbor, Michigan, isn’t the first town that comes to mind for music recording. Yet the small community is home to Key Club Recording Company, one of the best and most beautiful studios in the Midwest, founded by producer/engineer duo Bill Skibbe and Jessica Ruffins.
These perfectionists are also simpletons: when it comes to their music at least.
There’s a lot of excellent bands coming through Chicago this weekend, and the ALARM editors will be seeing the likes of Tim Fite, An Albatross, Man Man, and Genghis Tron…when one of said editors isn’t attending his 10-year high-school reunion.
