Morbid, bluesy swamp rocker Dax Riggs — formerly of Deadboy & The Elephantmen and Acid Bath — will tour with ALARM cover artists Queens of the Stone Age for twelve dates in September.
Riggs, the driving force behind Deadboy, will issue his debut solo effort We Sing of Only Blood or Love through Fat Possum Records on August 21. He and his oft-emotive voice will hit the Austin City Limits Festival on September 15 before his backing band joins him with Queens through the end of the month.
In the meantime, Queens of the Stone Age, the focus of a six-page spread in our summer issue, will perform in East Troy, Wisconsin for Rage Against the Machine‘s only scheduled midwest concert. The two giants of radio rock will play at the Alpine Valley Music Theater on August 24.
